Empire star Jussie Smollett who recently survived a harrowing attack in Chicago, which kept him in the news for sometime calls himself the Gay Tupac.
Although we are unsure why he compared himself to the famous rapper Tupac, many believe it is as a result of Tupac's survival after an attempt was made on his life.
Smollett performed for the first time since the attack and during his performance at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on Saturday night, the singer took the time to clear a few things in regards to the attempt on his life.
He said: "I was bruised but my ribs were not cracked. They were not broken. I went to the doctor immediately," he said. "I was not hospitalized. Both my doctors in L.A. and Chicago cleared me to perform but said to take care, obviously and, above all, I fought the fuck back. I'm the gay Tupac."

The Gay Tupac also admitted that he hasn't fully recovered yet but he's going to be soon enough.
“I’m not fully healed yet,” said Smollett, who is black and openly gay, “but I’m going to be, and I’m gonna stand strong with y’all.”
