Sarri is under increasing pressure at Stamford Bridge after a 6-0 defeat to current league champions Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday.
The Chelsea board have discussed making a move for Zidane, who left Real Madrid last year after winning three straight Champions League titles.
It is believed this move will help keep Eden Hazard at Chelsea since the Spanish giant, Real Madrid are determined to land the player at the end of the season.
Zidane is also among the candidates to replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the favourite after guiding the Red devils to 10 wins, 1 draw and a loss in the champions league against PSG last night.
Chelsea who are keen to becoming European superpowers again might just turn to Zinedine Zidane for European success.
